Great to meet you!
As a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and psychotherapist, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for 25 years, but in the last decade, have shifted my main focus to diagnostic evaluations and treatment of ADD/ADHD and Ketamine Assisted Therapy for adults aged 18-65 who are struggling with depression, anxiety and attention deficit disorders.
Hi, I’m Corey. Life can get complicated, and sometimes the patterns that once helped us cope begin creating new challenges. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling in your relationships, carrying the weight of past experiences, or finding yourself stuck in habits you can’t seem to break, therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening, and start making changes that feel possible.
I’m a welcoming, down-to-earth therapist who has been supporting clients since 2008. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity questions, and relationship challenges of all kinds. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and experienced in working with diverse relationship structures and gender identities. Whoever you are and whatever you’re exploring, you’ll be met with respect, openness, and zero judgment.

Imagine what life would be like if you had the space to explore the nuances of the struggles you've been battling. Making the decision to seek professional help is probably one that you have been pondering over for awhile. Therapy is a journey that is not always the easiest to embark upon and just showing up is half the battle. As a therapist it’s my job to gently guide you through this process. Developing a therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of therapy. In the first few appointments, I will get to know you and the issues that you are facing. From there we will work together on your goals. I am laid back, and utilize a variety of treatment approaches depending on your needs. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Texas. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I have experience treating adults, young adults, adolescents, and families in various settings. I have worked in hospitals and the criminal justice system. I utilize psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches in working with my clients. I am EMDR trained and enjoy working with trauma and anxiety. I enjoy coffee, college sports, my dogs, travel, and collecting mechanical watches.
I began my career in an inpatient psychiatric facility. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2005. I moved to California right after graduation to provide therapy in an under served county in Northern California. In 2010 I moved back to Texas in preparation of starting my own family and to be near my aging parents. I tailor my therapeutic approach based on the needs of my clients. I believe that people are more open when they don’t feel judged.
