My name is Ian Dyer, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, and I am a graduate of the University of South Alabama where I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing in the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. I am licensed as an APRN in the State of Florida and board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I currently have more than 5 years of experience in the field of psychiatric nursing in both the outpatient settings as well as in acute inpatient psychiatric services. You've done the work to get sober. But some things are still coming up. I help people in recovery who got sober but still feel something unresolved finally process what's underneath so recovery feels complete. You've worked the steps, rebuilt your life, and yet there's something underneath that hasn't shifted. Maybe it's stuff from before the drinking started, or things that happened during. I use EMDR to help process what's stuck in the nervous system so recovery can feel complete. We'll work with your program yet reach what talk therapy and stepwork can't fully resolve. I've got 22 years sober and in recovery myself, so I get it.

Play is vital for children to express themselves and learn about their surroundings and general environment. In addition to exploration, it is essential for their development. Allowing the space for them to play freely generates the possibility of understanding their world and their motivation. Instead of the traditional format of communication, we often learn more about a child's thoughts, feelings, motivations, and struggles by watching them play.
To be able to give a child power, motivation, and confidence will set the foundation for a successful life. Often times when dealing with a traumatic situation and learning to deal and cope with it effectively, allows a child (or anyone for that matter) to become the best versions of themselves and learn to move forward.

I’m Dr. Daniela De Medeiros, a clinical psychologist in Miami with over a decade of experience working with teens and adults from all walks of life.
